SAILOR'S LEARNING PATH

This Train of Trainers (TOT) program is a professional development opportunity designed to equip experienced trainers or educators with the knowledge and skills they need to train others effectively. The TOT program typically involves a combination of theoretical and practical training sessions. Trainees will have the opportunity to practice delivering the training content to each other and receive feedback from the trainers and other trainees. This allows them to gain confidence and refine their skills in a supportive environment. The goal of a TOT session is to create a pool of highly skilled trainers who can then deliver training to other individuals or groups.

Cabin I: From Landlubber to Captain

Mastering the fundamentals of training, including learning theories, planning sessions, and setting values.

Highlights:

  • Learn about inter-professional learning, adult learning theories, and different learning styles.
  • Write effective learning outcomes and plan engaging inter-professional sessions.
  • Understand the difference between training, coaching, mentoring, and facilitation.
Cabin II: Charting Your Course

Exploring the training process, delivery methods, and effective session design.
